Hindu Media Bureau
Dhanashree Ramachandran, Adriaan Van Swieten and Rob Blanchflower
For decades, presentation of Hindu opinion in the mainstream media has been dependent on less than authentic sources. The multifold repercussions of this have a negative impact on how Hindus are perceived worldwide. Hindu Media Bureau, a non-governmental agency aims to bring a change by putting together a structure to promote and protect Hindu voice. Functions:
- Strengthen Hindu voice in media by publishing news articles to promote Hindu opinion on issues and affairs supported by educational campaigns and research projects
- Re-establish authority in representing Hindu philosophies by identifying outlets with less than accurate versions of translation of Sanskrit texts, commentaries and out of context mentions of Hindu traditions that claim to be resources for Hindu philosophies and practices and taking corrective measures.
